Costa Rica is a great place to do spring break.

Fun things to do: hiking, biking, horseback riding,
ATV's rappelling, kayaking, fishing, scuba, surfing, sunbathing, zip lining, white water rafting, photography, bird watching, shopping, swimming, drinking, dancing and about a million other things. You won't run out of fun things to do, but be sure you Zip Line - it will be the highlight of your trip.

There are also volcanoes, hot springs, coffee plantations, banana plantations, spice farms, breeding turtles, and all kinds of cool things that you can tour or learn about. Spa's offer inexpensive treatments. Spanish schools for a crash course in the Spanish language. So much stuff to do. You'll have a blast.

Visit Volcanoes. There are lots to choose from. The Alraneal Volcano has a great hot springs garden nearby. You can go swiming there. It is a great place to bring a girl. The volcano is very active so they will not let you go close. The Pois and Irazu volcanos are also worth seening. With them you can go as close as you want.

Depends where you are going to stay. Fun stuff: White Water Rafting on River Pacuare Class IV. YOu can do this from San Jose in a one day trip or overnight and sleep in the jungle. Canopy is a must. You swing from tree to tree in a harness. Quad thruough the rainforest. Party at the beach (Jaco, Tamarindo, etc)

Depending on where you do, there are different attractions. You can go on the turtle tours, canopy through the rain forest, surf, party, and check out the cloud forest. I went to Costa Rica and stayed in one town for a week, it's impossible to see everything in a week. If you get a chance get a rental and take a trip to surrounding towns to see what they have to offer, because it will all be different! have fun!

ZIP LINING!!!!! It is so fun and exhilarating. We went on a tour in Monteverde called Selvatura I believe, and the guides were super funny and they had a 40 ft. Tarzan swing. Scary, but the thrill is worth it. White water rafting is awesome as well. Guided tours in the rain forest are OK. I found them boring--it might be more fun to explore on a trail on your own.
