I recommed that you stay at the resort punta islita. THey have zip lineing, surfing lessons, monkeys, horseback rideing, great place for families. If you enjoy a good meal i highly recommend this place because the food is so good. on the resort there are mango trees, star-fruit trees, and also lime trees that you can pick and eat from. They also have a golf corse if you like golf. The people are so nice there to.

Heres there website:http://www.hotelpuntaislita.com/

I LOVE COSTA RICA!! i've been there before and is so beautiful i defiantly incurage you to go!! you should go to the beaches in Guanacaste!! they are the prettiest ones.. The hott springs!! ooo how fun!! some of the water falls!! as many volcanoes as you can!! National Parks! and of course the rain forest!! everything there is so much fun and you have so many choices so go to costarica.org and find some more info... HAVE FUN!!!!:D

U have two choices actually, in Jan Jose. the beach or the city. They are about 2 hrs bus ride apart. Internet Costa Rica and see exactly if you want San Jose or the Beach! The beach is fun!!
Have Fun

rent a car, go through every mud hole you can see. at the beach, run and swim like a 2 yr old baby without a daiper. mountain, relax in a hammock or a rocking chair with a hot cocoa or a beer... listening to the rain falling... or there are places you can go and party'

Note: punta islita is one of the most expensive hotels in Costa Rica.
Ok...fun thing to do...
You can bungeejump, you can do canopy, visit our national parks.
If you come to San Jose, you can find lots of bars, and discos where you can party till dawn...

But if you really want to party, you have to go to Tamarindo, is in Guanacaste north pacific.
There you can truly party...and the best thing for u, is there are lots of people from different countries there, so, is THE spot...

But if you want to know the caribean, u have to go to Puerto Viejo.
Or you can go to Manuel Antonio, south pacific.

Do you like music? Live music? I don't know where in Costa Rica you're planning on going, but in the capital, San Jose, there is a bar/cafe place called Jazz Café San Pedro. They often play there. It is sometimes jazzy, sometimes world music, sometimes (some people call it) new age. They are a really unique trio that has traveled the world. If you are at all interested you can check them out at:

Just don't rent a car. Car theft is notorious in Costa Rica. But have fun!

anything! zip lines and white water rafting were fun. also puerto vejeho ( not a clue if i spelled that right! ) was a fun little hippy town. the tavacon hot springs, and arenal volcano were both cool. i liked seeing monte verde cloud forest, tons of animals!

it may not be the best place to go to drink and party like one would normally do on spring break..... but its a beatiful country to explore and adventure through... its definitely worth zip-lining through the forest/mountains (aventura park), or a day bus trip to see the arenal valcano erupt at night is amazing.
