Happily The incidences of that are few and far between. Fishing is also prohibited there, but in 2006 we found at least three hooks on the bottom at Darwins Arch. I dont know why people do that stuff. I was fortunate enough to get there before lonesome george died. The big tortises were awesome as were the marine iguanas and the penguins.

No.. not legally. The galapagos islands are off limits to all but scientists.. google 'galapagos' for more and better information.
