Stretching exercises are good you have to be extremely flexible to be a good goalkeeper. You need to be able to jump well and in control so leg strength is important .Reflexes are essential so use small balls and get someone to randomly throw or kick at you .Being able to read the game is also necessary by this I mean being aware of where all the attackers and defenders are and trying to read what the attacker is going to do is he going to cross or shoot read this by looking at the player where is he looking as he shot before etc .Play a lot of games and don't be afraid to tell your defenders what to do .

You need to see yourself as part of the defensive line. From your position you have a better view of the whole pitch than anybody else.

So try talking - shouting - at the defenders a lot to tell them what's going on. Talk to them, and be a team of 5 players working together, not 4 defenders and you. Even if you have ability, the great keepers are always on at their defenders, and you can improve that without any extra physical training.

Also, watch your opponents - know which foot they favour and how they like to hit the ball. There are lots of things other than just stopping the ball that make great keepers, that's why tends to be older ones that are the best.

Not 'Any body' can be a goal keeper. You need 'The Body' to be a goalkeeper. So Eat more until you cover the whole goal. ;)

if its one on one dont be afraid to come out but make yourself look big. dont be afraid to get yourself dirty when you dive around, be commited to the dive too. keep your eyes always on the ball and order your defence about.

keep your eye on the ball at all times only come out of the box if its your team that has the ball and its past the halfway line.go in for the tackle and dive when needed.
