It's a great idea. Get out to Guat City as soon as possible. It's dangerous and too congested.

Semuc Champey: It's one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.

Lake Atitlan (San Lucas Toliman and Pana) Nice place to relax with a beautiful setting.

Tikal: It is beautiful and the temples are amazing

Antigua: It is a beautiful Colonial city.

Montericco: It's out of the way, but you can relax on the beach.

Guatemala is a great place for a vacation. Check out the videos at http://www.atitlan.net for a complete overview of all the attractions in Guatemala.

go to the highlands...very inexpensive....i stayed at a very nice hotel and was only changed 18 dollars a night......great bargain.....the food is great, people are very friendly.....climate is great,.....some great outdoor markets....especially if you go to the chichi area....as far as Guatemala City...if not for the airport...i would never go there.....too many people, traffice bad, much crime,.....people rude......good luck on your trip....

Stay in Antigua and do day trips to Panajachel and Chichicastenago. Then take a couple of days and go to Tikal.

All of which is very afordable. You can even book the Tikal trip in Antigua.

Su
Go to Antigua beaufitul make sure you go to a place call Santo Domingo and eat the buffect and tour around the place.

TIKAL ALSO BEAUTIFUL PLACE
