Clothing is casual. For men, a guayavera and nice slacks do it for about everything. Gals dress up more than the guys. Traditional dinner would be "aroz con pollo"! look here for that recipe. http://www.zonianlady.com/czrecipes.html
THE Festivity of the year in Panama' is Carnival (Mardi Gras).
Religions are wide and varied. Catholic is the dominant cultural faith, but all the world's major religions are found there due to the countries "crossroads" position on the globe.
Economics are based upon the US Dollar. They have the leading economy in Central America with a large banking section, Free Trade Zone, and of course, the Panama Canal. The Government is a representative democracy with three major parts of government, much like the US. |

Clothing, they dress just like we do.I've only seen older men still wearing guayaberas. You can either make bollos, arroz con pollo.or, arroz con coco, and chicheme to wash it down. The carnaval in February is a very popular festivity where people throw water on each other.People are mostly Catholic or Protestant, but the Mormons are everywhere. There are many foreign investors who are doing very well as usual, but Panamanians continue to struggle on a daily basis.I am not too familiar with the politics,I can tell you that Martin Torrijos, son of our national hero Omar Torrijos is the president. |
