Every year for the past 12 years we have been going.
It is just a wonderful country in every aspect and by far the safest and most developed of Central America. The people are very friendly, its very safe and there is pleny to do between the beaches to rainforests.

Go read a few articles or overviews on Frommers.com or where ever and see if this is the type of place you might like for a vacation. If so, post some more questions about places to go etc and you will get lots of good answers. Costa Rica is well traveled and touristed these days so there will be lots of good information coming back for you.

I visited San Jose like 15 months ago, Costa Rica is a beautiful country where you can find everything.

There is so many places where you can go, entertainment,bars,restaurants etc. A very peaceful contry with their people so nice and friendly.

But the bad thing is that San Jose is a little bit expensive seeing that the US Dollars is a little bit devaluated in Costa Rica almost 520 Colones are $1
But you have to enjoy at most everyhing you want to.

Visit it! It's very nice.

Amazing place to visit! Friendly people, beautiful landscapes, and fun activities.

I stayed at the Fiesta Premier Resort in Papagayo. The hospitability was impeccable and every day we did something cool and different (snorkel, scuba, kayak, canopy swing, ATV rides thru the jungle).

Yeah, i've been there like 9 times, pretty place, but from central america I prefer Nicaragua and Panama

We went last April and absolutely loved it. We can't wait to go back next year. We stayed at a beautiful house at a remote beach. It was so relaxing to watch the sunset and waves as well as walk along the beach. We took a two day trip to the country's interior to see an active volcano (Areneal) and soak in a spa's waters which were heated by the volcano. The countryside was so beautiful and so different. The people where very nice and very helpful.

I would defineatly recommend a trip to Costa Rica to anyone considering it.

my grandpa lives there and i visisted him a couple decembers ago and i loved it....we went to a couple little islands and a volcano...and i watched a bull fight in san jose....i had a blast.... i think its beautiful there... :)

I was in San Jose for 2 days, it was a lot of fun...went dancing to Coco Loco...awesome!!!

One of the most lovely places on this planet. San Jose is enjoyable (touristy), so you should go to places like Cartago, Liberia, etc.. Definetly go the beaches and take a tour thru the jungle for all the wildlife. My "tica" is from Cartago, and we go back twice a year. I haven't even thought of going someplace else!!!!
