I travelled to Brazil in 1967 and lived in Sao Paulo for nearly two years. I loved it. Portuguese is very easy to learn - if you make sure that you live with Brazilians and don't have the opportunity of speaking English. I loved the Brazilian people who are very lively and friendly. The food is delicious - very varied and even in the sixties there were lots of different nationalities of food - a food melting pot! The weather in Sao Paulo was warm and pleasant though hardly ever unpleasantly hot.

HELL yes! I am in Brasil at the moment! It´s my fourth visiting. I am half brasilian and I have tons of family members living here. I have been here for 2 weeks, and I will be here for another 4. What comes to my mind when I think of Brasil is first class soccer, beautiful beaches, and Gisele Bundchen and Adriana Lima! Beautiful women!!

I recently returned from travelling all over Latin America and to honest Brazil was probably my least favourite country. Other travellers were always saying that when you go you should expect to be robbed, which turned out to right. The country has some beautiful sites to see but I found the attitude of some of the people ruined it for me. I lost count the amount of arguments with taxi drivers trying to rip you off. Brazil is like a drug, it seems nice and everyone would like to experience it but in the end it bites you. Argentina and surrounding countries are far nicer.
