I am from Panama and I love my country!
But even though a lot of people might think Panama City looks like a US city, that is not totally true. Panama City is modern, has tall buildings, good night life, casinos, restaurants, we used US dollars, but it is unique! We can go from the Caribean to the Pacific in just an hour and a half. You can experience the urban side and travel a few minutes and be in the middle of the rainforest.
So, disscover Panama, the city, the beaches, the rivers, the rainforest, mountains, countryside and food...enjoy!

It's a very beautiful country. Lots of fun. They use the US Dollar as their currency so no problem in currency exchange. People are friendly. Panama City looks like any modern city in the US, and if you want to see something different then you drive to any town of the interior of Panama to have a country town feel. The beaches are excellent, and there is a beach for everything (snorkelling, surfing, diving, etc.)

I think Panama is awsome, I have been there a few times, the longest I have stayed was 2 years. Panama is somewhat Americanized. Is very modern in the city, and they have a awsome mall at Albrook. The canal is a awsome site to see, and such a wonder of all the seat that went into it to build it. Once you leave the city you feel you are out in the country. Most of the people are nice and things are pretty cheap.
