Im too glad he won... Only stupid people thinks El Salvador will be a comunist country, this country really needs a change, and we thinks Mauricio Funes is this change, El Salvador has a lot of corruption and poor people.. And i still says, only stupid people thinks it will be a comunist country...
I really dont wanted a killer like Avila in the goverment, there was 20 years of arena, all a life for me...
Funes the new president of El Salvador!!!! |

Everyone is happy. Arena didn´t really want the power, really ! When the waves of bad economics (Made in U.S.A.) will set foot, seriously, nobody would want to be in those shoes. And the FMLN wanted the power for so much time.... their happy, but I´m sure they are crossing their fingers in hope everything will be fine.
The truth of the matter is that the world is all Fk´d up because of the FED and Bernanke responsible of printing TOO MUCH MONEY at the first time, then resulting in crashes all around and you know the rest of the story... until today. So whether or not Funes or Avila win the elections in El Salvador will have at most very little consequences for the citizens of El Salvador. |

A Historical Election.
Since the War Arena had not lost power
I think that this might be a change for the better. ARENA had an almost 20 year reign and little happened under their power. Maybe FMLN can lead the country through better times.
What does worry me is the relationship between El Salvador and the USA, a country on which we depend. Many US Politicians call FMLN a terrorist group. Hopefully, Mr. Funes will work together with obama.
Some stupid people think that we will have a dictatorship in El Salvador but Funes said that they are going to uphold and respect the constitution. |

This is for all you Salvadoreans who are so happy that Mauricio Won.
Lets pretend you have this big exam coming up. so you study loads and work your as.s off. The day of the exam comes and you end up getting an A+. The teacher then comes and tells you that everyone is going to get the same mark, so the grade you get is the class average, which is a C+. You worked your as.s off and you got the same mark as the laziest person in the class.
Welcome to communism my brothers. This is what you voted for. |

I was very disappointed in all of those who voted for this man. I haven't lived in El Salvador for a couple of years now but my immediate family still lives there. I've seen first hand how unhappy people in Venezuela are with Chavez and if Funes is gonna be anything like this man then God help us. I saw an article today on ELSALVADOR.COM and it was Chavez talking about how everyone makes him out to be the bad guy...well in my opinion he's not a saint either. Anyhow I'm not very pleased with the situation, but perhaps he can offer our country something that Arena was not able to in the past. Hopefully we don't get screwed in the process... |

I think he does not have a communist ideology, and a lot of his promises seem to be very positive ones. He has a moderate image, and it looks like he won't try to implement a radical left for El Salvador. But until this moment, we can only have promises. The truth will be written later, and hopefully El Salvador will have a good destiny with this new President of El Salvador.

Funes has a lot ahead of him. He has promised a lot, so change must really come from him and his presidency. I don't believe ARENA has really hurt the country. El Salvador is now the best country in all of Central America. El Salvador has the best, and safest airport in all f Central America. El Salvador has the best roads and highways of all of Central America. People in El Salvador think they have it bad, but compared to people in other countries like Nicaragua they have it made. The problem with the Salvadorean people, my people, is that they have gotten used to relatives and friends in foreign countries like the US, Canada, and European nations send money back home. People make more money through these remesas than they would by working a minimum wage job. What they should do is work a job and whatever remesas they get can be used to pay for whatever their wages cant. A big change for El Salvador will be if Funes raises the minimum wage. |

Down here many people are so pissed off.
I don't like how people are so lazy and don't want to work for what they want. The rich people work so hard for their stuff, while the others are not educated or too lazy. The hard working people don't deserve random people living in there houses. It just not fair. If this happens, many people are leaving the country. |
