How can I send 6 surfboards (in a board bag) from Costa Rica to Mexico?

I'm going on holiday & there will be about 3 weeks between the places I need my boards. I thought it would be easier to freight them direct to the next place I'll need them instead of hauling them around with me. It's proved to be a bit difficult to setup & just wondered if anyone has any idea? I'm from Australia.

Your surfboards will be dinged and busted up by any freight company... just a fact.

Also, finding freight in Costa Rica will be difficult, you have to deal with Customs, etc... it would be a huge mess for you to try this.

FedEx broke my surfboards which were inside a board bag when they did not make it through a connection in Fort Lauderdale (I carried them through Customs, gave them back to TSA, but they did not make it on my flight from Ft Lauderdale to Orlando, so the airline FexEx'd them to my house)
