Try www.metrocuadrado.com Might be a good place to start. Also Hotels.com has some Bquilla Hotels. Edit: Ive been to the Dan Carlton. Its maybe MAYBE a 2 star hotel. The breakfasts there are TERRIBLE.

Aside from the recomendations from "estrato seis" I would recommend you ask the people on Colombianblog.com they can give you lots of great colombia travel advice and many of them are from or have traveled in Barranquilla.
