The Peace Corp offers some great opportunities. If you can find some responsible charities who are truly looking to improve the state of the people, fundraisers are a good idea to send them money and resources. They are in great need of a lot of things. Education, teen pregnancies, malnutrition, etc. Money is important to help programs that are combating these problems.

Buy guatemalan products. Visit Guatemala and spend your foreign money in the country. Tell everybody else about Guatemala. It's beautiful.
