THE WORK4TRAVEL - FRONTIER CLUB
FOR WORK AND TRAVEL ADVENTURES
Throughout the world
Seasonal work is the answer for many people who want to just take off for a few weeks or months, more or less at any time of the year. Numerous opportunities worldwide are created by seasonal peak labour demands from ski resorts to holiday camps and resorts, and on farms, ranches, parks, etc. No experience necessary for most jobs.
There are opportunities in almost every country throughout the world for those interested in conservation and environmental work, and working with nature in the Great Outdoors.
Conservation is naturally an important issue these days and correspondingly there has been a large increase in the number and scope of interesting and exciting projects available to everyone, including those at our own spectacular sites and forest reserves, from trail making high in the Columbia Mountains to helping protect the world's smallest deer (only 10-18 inches high) at our reserve in the Andes Mountains. |

Don't think you should look for paid work. Many of the countries are very poor and if you get paid, you're taking work off of one of the locals who need it more. Unless you've got a specialised skill (doctor, vet etc), it's not realistic to expect to be paid.
You'll easily be able to find voluntary work and maybe if you can commit a few months or more, some places may be able to put you up.
I didn't do conservational work in South America but I did volunteer there. I found it best to choose a village/place where I wouldn't mind living for a while, go there and find the voluntary work once I'd arrived. In most places, there are plenty of organisations that need help and are glad of it. |

If you are send by a company of your country you have the best of luck.If you go by yourself, you have to wait for months to get a permit to work and live in that latin country. With this permit it is very difficult to find work. They give rather a job to a person of there own country who does not know halve of the job than give it to you. When you can have a job,it is at least 6 days with in a week and easy 11 hours a day and badly payed.Of course can have luck of some. |
