A taxi cab will cost u 405 colones for each kilometer, almost 1 dolar, but it's a long way from tambor to jaco...u gotta go from tambor to paquera, over there u take the ferry to puntarenas and in puntarenas another cab to jaco

you have to ask first a taxi in Tambor, then ask if the the taxi driver is able to go to Jaco, if his answer is affirmative the 1st kilometer it would be ¢405 colones (almost $1) but then the "maria" (machine that give you the price) will increase for ¢5 every 5 seconds so cost may varies, and if in someplace is a traffic jam the total price would be really expensive. I recommend you to travel by bus, experience is better and cheaper.

Just take a taxi to the Ferri and when you get to puntarenas take the bus ..the bus system in Costa Rica is wonderful and they have wonderful busses you only pay like 2 dollars on that bus trip ....adventure is more fun .....and you save alot of money .
