How do you say in spanish "i like that person" " "i like my job" "i really like babies" |
I only know the verb "gustar" but i'm under the impression it doesn't apply to these situations. |

As -yellowstone- pointed out, "gustar" when you talk about a particular person, could be meant in a romantic (or even sexual) way (depending on the region and the people), so the appropiate term would be: "esa persona me cae bien o me cae bien esa persona", the next one would be "Me gusta mi trabajo"(or "me encanta mi trabajo" if you love it), ("me gusta mi chamba" if you wanna sound more latina/latino), and the last one "me gustan mucho los bebes!"(in this case you're not using it for a particular person, so it's the same as in English) |

Me gusta ese persona, me gusta me trabaje, and me gusta los ninos (pronounced neen-yos) |

for things and types of people me gusta will work but to say I like that person it is better to use something other than gustar to avoid sexual undertones. Like " esta persona me cae bien." |

You say:
Me gusta "that person"
Me gusta mi trabajo.
Realmente me gustan los bebés. |

You are right, although one may say "me gusta..." literally, a better way is to say "me encanta" meaing you really like, or "me cae bien" to say that person or other is OK with you. Suerte con sus estudios! |

me gusta a esa persona.
me gusta me trabajo.
me gustan los bebes mucho. |

The last two answers are right on.
The translation "Realmente me gustan los bebés" does not really work in this situation. What that translates to in English is "Really, I like babies."
I was taught that 'me encanta' translates to "I love." I think it would be better to say me gusta mucho, except when you are talking about a person, in which case you should use me cae bien.
I would translate the phrases as follows:
Me cae bien aquel/aquella persona.
Me gusta me trabajo.
Me gusta mucho los bebés. |
