Ok, first you would have to drive down to Mexico and of course get all the permission papers you'll need to drive all the way to Panama. Your DMV can help you with that.

Once you get to Panama you would have to get your camper on a ship and have it containerized to be shipped to South America. I suggest that you take your car to Ecuador and start from there on down. The thing is that if you want to cross Colombia, the southern part is mostly occupied by rebels, so that wouldn't be the way to go.

About the ship part, the best way is to talk to a customs agent and a good freight company like Evergreen or Maersk Sealand, or a consolidator like Panalpina. Those are international operators, so you can find info on the web.

There is no road from Panama to Colombia for various reasons, there used to be a Ferry to Colombia's atlantic coast, but I have not been in Panama for two years, so I dont know. The thing is, NO ROAD TO SOUTH AMERICA from Panama

u can keep on stopping for gas on ur way up there

As far as I know, the Darien Gap is impassible. Sure, if you had a Land Rover and a team you can do it, but then you'd have to contend with rebel groups that operate in the area.

Most sane people take a ferry.
