Depends where, South america is big and there are zones where rains a lot like the Amazones Forest, and there are desert like La Patagonia,or la Puna de Atacama. There are places Hot all year around without winter like Venezuela, Colombia and Ecuador and there are very cold places in the south of Argentina and Chile , like Usuhaia.
