By mid november the rainy season is easing off. on the Pacific side. There are likely to be afternoon showers, mild, and of short duration. In mid to late december there is a short windy season, usually strong but still pleasant, not dangerous. There are still some rainy afternoons and evenings. By late January the coast is heating up. Weather-wise December in the best month, not too wet, not too hot. ANd the waves are bigger and well shaped. |

December on the coast is typically dry. It is cooler than other months, but not so much where you can't enjoy fun in the sun. In fact, the ocean water will be unbelievably warm. Surfing is usually good in Costa Rica year round.

Its supposed to be the beginning of dry season. It doesn´t rain but weather is windy, temp. around the 68 F. You shouldn´t worry, its pretty nice at that time. Not as sunny as April, but works for me. |
