If you refer to all the Spanish speaking countries in North, Central, and South America, it is a total of 20.


North America - Mexico

Central America - Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatamela, Honduras, Nicaragua, and Panama

Caribbean - Cuba, Dominican Republic, and Puerto Rico

South America - Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Eucador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay, and Venezuela


Spain, and Portgual even, are sometimes considered part of Latin America, too.

Latin America is divided into 20 independent countries and several dependent territories.

Latin American also consists of the Caribbean so in total
there is 13 in South America 8 in Central America and 20 in the Caribbean. That number is 41. Look it up!

Just because some of the countries don't speak Spanish does not mean they are not part of Latin America. Remember the word Latin not Spanish.
