How many stamps do you use for mailing outside of the US?

You need only one stamp but it has to be for the right amount. It costs as low as 63 cents and is typically 84 cents to mail a standard letter out of the US. The Post Office can sell you a single stamp for that amount.

See the link below for more information on international postage rates.

You can use regular domestic stamps for international mailing. As long as they show the postage amount on them, they will be fine for international mailing.

As of today, for an average weight letter, postage is 84 cents.

The general rule of thumb is to double the postage. For example, if it takes one stamp to mail something within in the U.S., then if you put 2 stamps it should be more than enough.

I have send some Christmas cards last year all over the world and I have paid 80 cents a piece, now in January prices went up, so you are looking at probably a dollar, now if its heavy maybe two!

Mairee R
It would depend on where its going and how much the package or envelope weighs... All mail going outside the US requires different stamps, not USA stamps.
