I use my international stamps for simple letters (84 cents) and for a bundle of documents in a large manila envelope it costs me about $8. I've sent a box that was a gift of two pants, two shirts and a couple of small toys like stuffed animals. I don't know how much it weighed but it was less than $30.

The shortest time it has taken anything to arrive is 1 week, the longest was an entire month and 2 weeks!

If you are sending a regular 1 ounce letter, the price is .84 cents. If it weighs more, it will cost you more.

Price varies depending on the weight of the envelope (I assume not much if it's only a letter), the desired delivery time and the type of service. Your best bet would be Airmail Letter Post, takes 4-7 days at $0.84 a piece.

Use an 80 cent stamp for a letter.

Just be careful if you mail anything other than a letter. El Salvador charges some high tariffs for a lot of stuff coming from the US, and the receiver has to pay for it. I had to pay $6 for a picture frame that probably cost that much to begin with. Also, things are sometimes taken from the package when they're checked at customs. Don't send anything too nice.
