Was part of Colombia, that's why you guys have a flag similar to Colombia. Chavez is the president. Your new currency are the "Bolivares Fuertes". The country is divided in states with Caracas the capital. "Salto del Angel" is the biggest waterfall in the world. Arepas is synonym of Venezuela. PDVSA is the government oil company. The "chamas" are one of the most beautiful girls in the world, no doubt about it with 5 miss universe.
PS - I did not look on google, I know all these, because I have venezuelan friends also I'm latin. hehe I'm thinking in visit Vzla probably next year. The country that nobody knows is mine: Puerto Rico. :( |

They have trouble with FARC, a terrorist group, sometimes, and tensions can develop with Colombia over it.
