its the national sport for all the countries in south america. its part of the culture. its such a popular sport because its so simple, all you need is a ball. its part of the culture, since theres not much else to do. the only sport that even comes close to it is volleyball, which is also popular in south america.
although insome countries in the carribean they prefer baseball
