Dont stay near the airport, thats too far from the city.
Stay in the Marriot, or the Dacapolis, or the Hotel El Panama or Venetto Hotel or Continental.
Or stay at the Hotel Ejecutivo, it is cheaper and in the middle of fun. (3 stars)

I would recommend the Hotel Panama, or Hotel Vegas.
Inexpensive but right in the heart of the restaurant and bar area.

I just stayed at the Veneto Hotel and Casino and since it bacame a Wyndam it is 4 star!

the hotel El Panama is great.it has a casino and great night club.there are tons of bars pretty close by.i was there a few months ago and had a great time.

I hear it is best to stay close to the airport in Panama City. Have fun in Brazil! I absolutely love it there, and if you haven't been there before, it's not as dangerous as people make it out to be. Email me if you have any questions about Rio, I've spent my summers there since I was 16.

Radisson Decapolis, it is located in a nice area of downtown Panama with lots of restaurants and nightlife.
There is also the Holiday Inn in via Espana.
