Antigua is a city very rich in history(if you like sort of thing)beautiful antique homes and cobblestone streets. Panajachel is another beautiful place to visit.

If you want adventure, spend a day or two with a Mayan family in the rainforest. The website for doing this is www.ecoquetzal.org. Its the experience of a lifetime and I would HIGHLY recommend it. Also, Tikal is well worth a day or two of your time. Its amazing.
