I'm from Philadelphia and I plan on traveling to Costa Rica in March. Does anyone have any advise on how to

how to get along, where to stay, where I can meet people. I do speak Spanish fluently and am only 24. I'll be going down there with plenty of many and hopefully will be staying there for about a year. Any suggestions - anyone?

Look up expat communities. They will have the best advice.

It's laid back, so you'll meet alot of people.

Skip the drugs. It's mostly DEA down there.

http://www.infocostarica.com/cgi-bin/forum//Ultimate.cgi?action=intro&BypassCookie=true Here is a forum that may help but it depends if you like the beach, the mountains, weather
If you like the beach I would stay on the Pacific side. If you like cool weather, Cartago or the higher suburbs of San Jose. Being from Philthydelphia getting along might be the most dificult. Leave your east coast attitude in Philthydelphia
