Greetings, you should be more than okay, except you will feel a little left out and lonely!!! You will still be able to get around. Be sure and bring a translating device with you. Also, learn how to ask basic questions. "how much" is REALLY important!! If you have places you want to go, be sure and write out in the language of where you are, how to get there. English is the "2nd language" of the world. You should be blessed with far more bi lingual people where you are traveling than they could find in the States. Plan to TAKE YOUR TIME ........ time does not mean the same in these places.........attitude will mean much more. Be Careful. You are a Gringo (money) in places where poverty is the norm. 911 does not respond in these places. Though the people are generally absolutely wonderful, consider yourself in a "bad neighborhood" and behave as you would there. ENJOY.........you are going to LOVE IT |

If you stay in tourist areas you shouldn't have much of a problem. Be advised, in Brazil they speak Portuguese which is similar to Spanish but not quite. |

Well, many people speak english in the South of America. And, if you goes to Brazil, you don't need to speak spanish, because brazilians speak portuguese. |
