¡Si, te amo Peru!

It's a freaking awesome country; it's actually my favorite. There are so many fascinating, historical, amazing wonders, the scenery is breathtaking, the food is spectacular & the people are the loveliest I've ever met. They were incredibly kind, hospitable and sincere.

Every day I was there I was in awe.

I actually had the opportunity to live there for 2 years and travel all over the country (Paita, Trujillo, Chiclayo, Tumbes, Cuzco, Quillabamba, Puno, Tacna, Mollendo, Juliaca, Arequipa...) . I have been to 7 other countries and Peru, by far, is my favorite. As others have mentioned, the food is incredible, the most sincere people, and breath-taking landscapes.

Es Mi Peru!

And How! Yes, I love PerĂº through and through - except for the stark poverty, and yet they seem to get by the same as they've done for hundreds or thousands of years with very little change.

It's a beautiful country with wonderfully friendly people and fantastic food. Can't wait to go back.

I must admit it's a bit unsettling to see the machine-gun-toting police in the Lima airport upon arriving though.

Saludos, BarcelonaMan(.com)

I have been in Peru 3 times so far. I have been in Machupichu, the AMAZON and PUNO, LIMA. ETC

I love 3 things about it:

1) History like Machupichu
2) The people are lovely, friendly-they are the best.
3) The food.........delicious!. There is a reason why Peru is well known as the "Gastronomical capital of America"

pura_rosa
Never been but I do want to visit Machu pichu!
