I just got back and traffic is baaaad. They are building a new bus station, so not even taxis go downtown. I agree that the weather is nice there year around, and that there are beautiful women, but I personally dont like Cali. I found it congested, dirty and people just arent very nice (with the exception of my family of course lol) Your in for a complete culture shock when you see the way people drive in Colombia.. It was nerve wrecking everytime I got in a car. Cost of living, hmmm, my grandma lives in a 3 bedroom apartment right across the street from a new mall called Palmetto and she pays$150 a month.. its an older complex though.. My cousin lives 5 minutes away at a newer complex, with a pool and she pays $250 usd for a two bedroom.. Hope this helps

ColombianitoNY- NO MAS GUERRA!
I am from Cali, the world capital of salsa!!! i havent been there in 5 years...but what you need is to be happy and learn how to dance salsa...Cali is usually a party city. From thursday till sunday you will listen music every where...i believe you can live with 200 USD per week to live there..

I will go next december...i cant wait!
good luck in my beautiful Cali

Colombia is passion

Don't listen to Sooty Cat, when you leave your country ....you get an education.
Cali has the most amazing climate year 'round, you go up the mountain 20 minutes it is cool, you go down 20 minutes it is hot tropical. People are amazingly expressive, women are so sensual. I can't help you with the cost of living because I have not lived there in few years but it is way lower than in US or Europe. Only drawback is the food which is generally bland and boring. Colombia is one of the most beautiful country in the world period! Ask anyone who has been or lived there. If you are thinking to move there you are already halfway there!

Well...No, but remember the words of Natalie Holloway's father..."When you leave this country, you leave the protection of this country."
