Lake Titicaca, the largest lake in South America. Its located on the border and is shared with Bolivia.

Lake Junín, its home to one of the most endangered species of bird, the Junín grebe, and an endemic bird called the Junín Rail.

Candidus
Laguna Conococha - ("coñi cocha" means hot waters) is in the Ancash Region at an altitude of 4,050 m above sea level and on the road from Callejón de Huaylas to Chiquián. Despite the extreme altitude, the lake is rich in fish, among others salmon and trout.

Lago Junín - the largest lake entirely within Peru. The lake is within the Amazon catchment. Most of the lake is located in the Junín Province of the Junín Region, its northwestern tip belongs to the Pasco Province, which is in the Pasco Region. Sewage coming from the cities of Junín and Carhuamayo pollutes the lake.
