There is an airline called LAN-CHILE or LAN-PERU that you can get a ticket that will allowed you a round trip from a different location.

Flying to South America is not cheap...There are in high season now..It is Summer time there now. Tickets are cheaper in July

Try Yahoo Travel. It is very helpful in finding the least expensive flights. I suggest booking the flights directly with the airline, though.

Definitely try Copa Airlines. Copa Airlines is the airline hub for the Americas. They have great package deals. I just booked my spring break travel vacation and got a great deal.
