In the Pacific there is Nosara or Samara to go to! They are really nice and well-known for surfing. Also, the prices are not that expensive and it is lots of fun! I strongly recommend it!

Good luck!

Puerto Viejo De Talamanca. One of the coolest places on Earth. World class surf break, Salsa Brava Good Snorkeling and a one of a kind Afro-Caribbean vibe. If you go then you should stay at Rockin J's its a really cool place. Dont listen to the guy that doesn't surf, or the guy who suggested a place in another country, trust me on this one.

If you want to surf i would probably go to Malpais, I dont know anything about surfing but i know thats one of the most sought after beaches, plus its a pretty nice place

Have you considered a volunteer vacation in Costa Rica? The sea turtle conservation projects are based at pristine beaches, such as San Miguel, on the Nicoya Peninsula and at Punta Banco, on the Southern Pacific, both areas are good for surfing.

This is a great opportunity to travel, learn and help the planet!

Prices start as low as $550 for a 2 weeks volunteering, including meals and homestay.
