Like almost any other country in the world you can't just move there.Legally you will not be allowed to work.The citizen tests of both countries are in Spanish so you had better be fluent and well versed in each countries history and the workings of the government.There is a minimum residency required also so you would need to have enough money to support yourself during that period.If you are caught working on a tourist visa you can be fined, jailed and/or banned from the country for life.

All the information you need for living in or immigrating to either country is readily available on the Internet with a simple search.

Colombia, here you can take a break in our wonderful beachs, on cartagena, santa marta or barranquilla, or if you want the "city life" come to bogota , colombia the best !!!!!1

costa rica is more develop than colombia but is small and it can get old after a while

colombia is very big and crazy in the good sense of the word, if u love women in colombia u'll be in paradise, hot girls are like ants, u find them just about every where u go.

also in colombia ur money will go farther and u have a lot more diversity of people, landscape, foods etc.

Your money will go farther in Colombia. Costa Rica is more developed. Safety is a relative thing. Colombia has many safe places just as Costa Rica has some unsafe places. If you are an U.S. citizen, you might want to consider the consequences of citizenship in another country. The information is on the U.S. State Department web site. You can get a residency visa to either country. You need to make sure that you are ready to live a life that is different from the one you currently know. Are you ready to give up the creature comforts you currently take for granted?

My father has a friend who moved to Costa Rica and he says there are many job opportunities right now. Colombia would be the most dangerous since there are terrorists groups. your best bet is Costa Rica. I have been to Colombia and it is a really beautiful place but as much as i liked it there i did not see any benefits to live there unless you are rich.
