Paulo Coelho is my hero

If I wanted to go to college in Ecuador what should I do?

I was thinking of going to a language school there first, then applying for college. I know a decent amount of spanish but Mexicans don't speak the same as Ecuadorians.

Hi, if you already speak some spanish I would suggest you simply apply for a college, it would be the best way to improve your spanish. That's what happened to me, I attended a full immersion spanish course, just to have the basics, and then followed my teacher suggestion: talk to evrybody, listen to how they speak, check on your grammar.

Anyway, at the following link you can find many informations about spanish schools in Ecuador and Quito

The Spanish language is the same in all countries. As is true with English, each region, district or country has their own version of the language, but a Spanish speaker should be understood in any Spanish speaking area. I learned to speak Spanish in Ecuador and each time I return, I am complimented on my "Castellano"....proper Spanish. The problem I have is that sometimes I have a more difficult time understanding them because I don't always know their dialect, BUT we always manage usually with a few laughs on their part!
