Costa Rica was the most amazing place...we saw volcanos, beaches with white sand and another with black sand...the
jungle tours were awesome! There is a city called Tortuguero...it is where the sea turtle come to lay their
eggs...The capital is San Jose...the have so much to see and
do...they love Americans and they appreciate any effort you
make to try to speak Spanish...but English is spoken all over...I saw toucans and sloths and turtles...If you get a
chance, visit Costa Rica...it is inexpensive and safe...
The Ticos (that's what they call themselves) have a saying...PURA VIDA...it kind of means...Live Life...I don't
know how to explain, but you will understand if you visit! |

Oh, Costa Rica absolutely. The jungles, rainforests, volcanoes, wildlife, beaches...I've heard it's absolutely gorgeous and safe as travel in the region is concerned. |

I would go back to Guatemala for sure! Antigua, Lake Atitlan, Tikal- it was amazingly beautiful. I also really enjoyed the cultural experiences I had in the smaller villages like Santa Maria de Jesus. Loved the trip! |

i just got back from panama and costa for a 5 month stay. it depends what you like to do. all of central america should be fun (except columbia) my favorite is costa rica. panama was a little cheaper better roads, costa had more of a jungle feel i thought, the scuba in panama is killer, and less touristy in panama also. alot of gringos in costa so what ever suits you best. |
