If you live in Costa Rica, do you have internet access at home? Dial-up or high-speed?

If you don't have internet at home, how do you go online? - internet cafes? Thank you, I appreciate this information.

At home you can have DSL, Cable or dial-up internet. If not, there are thousands of internet cafes, even in the smallest towns. So don't worry, you will be able to use the internet!

I live in an area of costa rica that just got PHONES less than a year ago, so we now have dial up service..and it is not to bad.

Some internet cafes nearby have high speed access but I don't know of anyone personally that has high speed in their homes yet.

For a long time the only nearby place had only satelite and it rarely worked....when it did, it took FOREVER!!

Hope this helps!

They have available both, you have to decide what you can affort
There are many internet cafes and in the lobby of many hotels they have computers available for the guest

I live in Costa Rica an I have high speed Internet access in my home, I can also get dial up if I want, I used to have dial up. Call the ICE, or the Cable TV providers AMNET or Cable Tica.

Todd
Many people in Costa Rica have Internet access at home and there is both dial up and high speed available in San Jose and Heredia as well as many other cities. Some of the smaller beach communities are just starting to get high speed Internet.

There are many Internet cafes throughout the country as well.

sapri
high speed, there is no dial up in Costa Rica
