Crowne Plaza is next to a park called "La Sabana" its a very nice place to go and walk in the mornings. You will also be relatively close to Downtown San Jose, there are bus stops right infront of the hotel. Also there is a supermarket on the other side of the road. The hotel is nice, it has a Casino, also some restaurants (Japanese, Italian, and some more). The hotel's gym is very nice, has a pool and its pretty large. If you plan on taking a taxi from the airport to the hotel I would advice you to ask them to take you to the "Hotel Corobici", because that was the name before "Crowne Plaza" so not alot of people know what Crowne Plaza is.
It's in a safe place, so you don't have to worry about that. I'm not sure what kind of trip you are doing, but it would be boring to stay there for 2 weeks since there isn't a lot to see and do.
Hope this helps :) Enjoy the trip |

Your hotel is a safe place and San Jose is safer than most Latin American cities but not as safe as many American cities (safer than New Orleans or Detroit but not as safe as Denver or Seattle). There is always danger of pickpocketing during the day time. At night take taxis that are called for by your hotel or the bar or restaurant you are patronizing. In general always use official taxis-- they are red and have a yellow triangle on the door. |

Well, this hotel is located in a beautiful San Jose zone but never leave bags unattendent and use cameras carefully. This city is safe but always be aware about your belongings |

Got robbed in my hotel parking lot. I was'nt in country for 30 min.
ALWAYS watch in all directions..........ALWAYS protect your valuables...........ALWAYS leave your valuables money, pasport, ID's (bring a copy) credit and debit cards (only bring enough cash for the day).........in the safe at the hotel or a secure place where your staying.
They were on me so fast I did'nt know what hit me. I'm a world travler. Ist time robbed. They work in pairs called coyotes.........they are everywhere in San Jose. |
