Im looking to go to Panama (the country) and i have no clue what city/island to fly to! or where to go. help?

Upon arriving to PanamÃ¡ you will be enterring Tocumen International Airport, formerly known has the Torrijos International Airport, and once you claim your baggage and pass the customs, then you walk on out and look for car agencies like avis and hertz which the most popular in the town.

Should you want a list of hotels, please look at this list:

1. Crowne Plaza.
2. Inter - Continental Miramar

These two hotels belong to the hotel chain Inter - Continental Hotels Group in which they have a frequent flyer program that is called "Priority Club" where you receive points or milles.

This is how the program works:

For every single dollar spent (excluding taxes and tips) you will receive 10 points per dollar.

Near are the levels:

1. Basic only requires for you to stay up to 20 nights annuals

2. Gold level requires that you to stay >21 but < 49. Here there is a 10% bonus. Meaning if you stay at any Inter - Continental, for an example, you will get a straight 2,000 points plus the 10% or 200 points. *

3. Platimun level memebers are required to stay a minimum of 50 nights annually. Over here there is a 50% bonus. Meaning if you stay at any Inter - Continental hotel, for example, you will get the straight 2,000 points plus 50% or 1,000 which means for that stay you will receive 3,000 points *.

* Denotes that are on going promotions and that you will have to contact your local representative in Priority Club. Please feel free to call them up by dailing 1 800 - HOLIDAY (or 1 800 465-4329).

For membership it is quite easy. You can visit any hotel that is nearby where you live and deliver it to the receptionist or visit www.priorityclub.com or call that phone number that I just mentioned and ask for Priority Club. Your enrollment material should not take longer than 6 - 8 weeks.

All flights go to Toucamen International Airport in Panama City. From there, you can schedule local flights through Air Panama or Aeroperlas airlines. If you haven't read Lonely Planet Panama, it's worth getting a copy. It's a beautiful country.

Like stated above, you'd naturally land in Tocumen. When I arrived in PanamÃ¡, I landed there, as it's closest to la Ciudad de PanamÃ¡ (Panama City).

Actually, I'm heading back to PanamÃ¡ this February, that's where I'll be planning to land again. It only takes about a good 6-8 hours to drive across the entire country on the bus, so it won't matter really where you'd fly to, but since your an international, you'll more than likely be landing in Tocumen. There's also an airport in CoclÃ©, but I didn't see people coming from other countries landing there moreso than landing in Tocumen.

Just go to Panama City,you will have fun and you probably won't want to leave.I know I don't want to leave everytime I go to visit my family.

Call a travel agent, Panama is in Central America, you could technically drive to it, but if you plan on flying call a travel agent or go on line and google "Panama".
