In Colombia who does the chores?

I'm doing a project on Colombia for my Spanish class. One of the things were need is who does the chores. I've looked everywhere for the answer but I can't find a website that has the information.
Can someone help me out?

At our house, the maid does. And in MOST Colombian families, unless they are DIRT poor, the have someone come in once a week or more often to clean etc.

A maid, there are so many poor and unedacated women in Latin America that is customary for Middle Class families to have a maid who cooks & clenas or just does laundry.

Hi Ariel

I live in Colombia, so I can say with knowledge of cause that women usually do the chores. Latin America still has remains of that macho culture where man can't /won't do things around the house but women do. I'm not saying all men are like this, but this is usually how things go here. Also, I agree with the answerer above me, maids are the ones that do chores, since it is easy to find them and at a VERY good proce compared to the states, so most houses have a maid.

In Colombia (I live there) it depends a lot on the social class. The upper classes or middle classes have someone that works there either every day or once a week, and this maid is paid the minimun wage and works 8 hours in the house. However, children do some basic chores like making the beds and taking the plates to the kitchen, and cleaning their rooms. Other people have maids who do the laundry and the cleaning of the bathrooms and floors a couple times a week, and the rest they do.
