In El Salvador, at a wedding, do the ushers still bring the bride to the church in seven white cars?

I read that in El Salvador, the wedding service traditionally starts before the bride arrives. Meanwhile seven ushers in seven white cars drive to pick up the bride from her home, together with her family. When she finally arrives the congregation breaks into the 'nuptial song'. Does this still happen? Did it ever? And what would be an example of a nuptial song?

Mrs. Obama rules!
There is a traditional piece of music played called "Here comes the bride" every time the bride comes into the Church but that's not solely from El Salvador. Sorry but I laughed when I read about he 7 white cars and the 7 ushers.....I guess the person who told you that witnessed ONE wedding like that but no, it's not a tradition from El Salvador.

Chances are, someone in El Salvador had a wedding like this. As far as tradition goes, this is not one of them.

The "nuptial song" is just any song you choose to play at the wedding. Any of the waltzes that people usually dance to at weddings or even popular songs (At Last by Etta James comes to mind) are used as nuptial songs.

If a congregation breaks into song, it is most likely a religious one, although there are no specific religious songs for weddings.

As for traditions, the traditions followed by most are the religious ones.

I hope this clarifies things.
