Del Cid is a surname

There are a lot of surnames here in Guatemala such as that:

De La Cerda
Del Valle
Del Campo

And other, by having two or three words in a surname that does not mean it is 3 different surnames just one with 2 or 3 words.

But most people here in Guatemala have 2 surnames, the first one is the father's surname and the second is the mother's surname.

For example if some is named

JUAN CARLOS DEL CID RUIZ

Juan = First Name
Carlos = Second Name
Del Cid = First Surname (father)
Ruiz = Second Surname (mother)

It is a last name. Much like Antonio Hernandez-Galvez.

Del Cid its a simple last name, it doesnt mean anything. Maybe for family purpose.

That's just a last name. Like, De la Cruz, De Loza.....
