Your best option is satellite Internet, but it is so damn expensive. There are a few companies operating in Costa Rica. I would not be able to recommend any of the companies since I have never used any of their services.
You can check the TicosLand.web directory for any other information you need about Costa Rica. |

I have the same problem. I live in the Mountains of North Carolina, USA.
We had to get Hughes Net Satellite to go High Speed.
I don't know if it is available in Costa Rica. |

I know that both the Monteverde Institute and the University of Georgia field stations in Costa Rica and have solved their problems by installing some very large antennas. I know that both institutions investigated all possible options so I would contact their tech people. Both institutions should be in your Costa Rica phone book. |

We don't have cable or DSL or Verizon or anything where I live either so we have satellite internet. It's HughesNet and it's decent. We get it along with our DirecTV as a package.

Good luck! |

As long as you have electricity you can buy or lease a satellite system. I live in Honduras where there are a half dozen companies available to provide service, including Hughes. I have no doubts that you can find several in your country. |
