As one of the above answers, it is rainy during August, but still a nice place to go. Now, Ecuador is a very diverse country and if a certain day is not the best to be at the beach, you can always visit other places. Ecuador is a small country and because of this you can get to other places in a matter of a couple of hours or so. If you go to Ecuador, I hope you have fun! =) |

No way!, the perfect time to go is in February-March-April, is when all the people go and where there is a lot of tours. I recommend you to go to Salinas, Playas, Puerto Lopez.
I love Ecuador is maybe one of the most beautiful places in the World (not joking!). Go to the Galapagos too! Amazonia! Quito! Cuenca! Ibarra! Chimborazo!.

I think the coldest time in the year to go to the beach would be August since summer at the coast of Ecuador is windy. By 'coldest' I mean you're gonna have cloudy sky but nice weather--not much rain. You might have fun but the greatest and hottest months are from december till April. |

Yes it is because it is a hot place and there is many stuff to see. Don't you know they are near the equator so of course they are hot. Oh but let me tell you that in August it will be spring at the time.Don"t listen to the other people just an advice. |

Yes it's fine year round. August might be a little rainy, but it's rain during a warm day... not a big deal!

Comment about other posters answers: If you have not lived in Ecuador, then don't talk about seasons. Ecuador is right on the Equator, there is no such thing as seasons. Well, technically there are 2 seasons: dry and rainy. On August it's rainy season. |

during our summer it's their winter so its not really beach season during that time... u c more people at the beach during january and especially febuary during carnaval season :) it will still be warm so if u really wanted to go to the beach it would b fine |

yes you can come to Ecuador anytime in the year, the sun shines all year round. You can watch the whales in the sea swimming and jumping out of the water. Is magical, i suggest you to come as soon as you can |

Ecuador is best place to visit i have been there, the climate is just beautuful !! and the best people are so nice really cool people, and in my opinion i don't recommend you the caribbian because of the people, they have no manners, not educated, when i went to puerto rico i didn't like it, is a small island and that's it! and there is no diversity as in Ecuador, Manabi is a nice place, but i recommend you a beach calles salinas that is really beautiful! |
