Is Puerto Rico a part of Latin America?

Show all answers

Enrique
Puerto Rico is a U.S. territory, "the 51st state" in a way. But the island shares a lot of culture with the rest of Latin America.

PR is not part of Latin America. But Latin America is a basic ingredient of PR's culture.

Yes but we're a also a commonwealth of the United States (whatever that means)

atc_pilot
Yes, it is part of Latin America, it shares many cultural aspects of Latin American people, including music, food, language, physical similarities... etc

Gustavo CL
Yes, Puerto Rico is part of Latin America, cause they speak Spanish and are in America. And it's a nation, associated with the US, but a nation still.
