Is a necklace from Costa Rica that says made from "exotic woods" expensive?

I received this necklace thing that on the paper says "exotic woods, hand made". It's from Costa Rica. I was wondering if anyone has an idea if those types of things are expensive or cheap. Also what is the average price on that kind of stuff.

Two of the most used erotic woods used in hand-made necklaces, handcrafts and furniture are Tigerwood and Cocobolo, due to their richness in colors, duability and then it is polish like porcelain and marble would be

Prices vary depending on the artist, quality and MOST IMPORTANT type of wood. Anything made of Cocobolo is going to be a lot higher in price, since it is a protected wood and requires a government permit to harvest it in a rainforest, so it is now grown on private land.

So if you see something online, make sure they specified the type of wood. The difference between the two woods can be tripled in price with the exact same looking product (well, except for the color)

Street vendors will sell the same product for about half (or even less) of what a tourist trap place will sell it for. Usually online stores will sell higher. I have seen almost the same looking necklace go anywhere from a few dollars to $80 US.

Your best bet is to go online (eBay is also a good source) and check out what a CR necklace is worth and then make your own call.

I hope this helps

It could be expensive and it could be rather cheap. The artist that created it and the amount of work that went into it's creation would determine the value, along with the age, possibly.

It depends on whre you buy them.
In Costa Rica they are between $10 and $20 in the USA they would cost at lest double.
