It is only mandatory if you are going to the jungle (Manu, Iquitos, Amazon, Madre de Dios) It is not mandatory for Lima, any city on the coast or any city on the highlands (like Cuzco, Machu Pichu, etc) |

the first answer is bad information i have been all over peru many time From Moyobamba to Lima to Ica and my wife lives there so i think i would know. it is not required. it depends if you think you will need it. as a tourist i doubt your going to go anywhere to much off of the beaten path with out supervision. it is your choice i have never got any shot to visit peru and i have never had any problems. only sick of america and i wanna stay longer in peru |

no, it is not mandatory, it is recommended. However, if you are leaving Peru and going other countries (like back your home), you would need to get the international certificate. You can search in www.minsa.gob.pe. |
