I've been to the Breeze's resort in Punta Cana. The country is very 3rd world. You can go cheap to the all-inclusives because of this, but be ready to stay in the resort area the entire time.

I went there in January. Landed in Puerto Plata and stayed at the Bahia Principe Resort in Rio San Juan! I love the people there! So nice and very good looking!
