and is it cheap or not? I would like something fine yet cheap :)

muncie birder
Their beer (cerveza) is cheap, about $1.00 a bottle and it is also good.

Stuart
Bourbon whiskey is made in the Bourbon Trail area of Kentucky.

The most popular brands (Jim Beam, Evan Williams, Wild Turkey, etc) are available in Costa rica, but they were imported from the US.

As a result, it is not as cheap as rum would be.

Bourbon is an American whiskey and it was named from the town Bourbon County, Kentucky. In CR it is a imported product, and because of that it demands a high price. A baby-shot (3/4 ounce) of JB or Wild Turkey will cost you around $10 US dollars if not more.

It is not a local drink, but imported to fit the needs of whiskey-drinking Americans and because of that, it is usually found in high-tourist areas.

In general, any imported distilled spirits (Scotch, Brandies, etc) will cost. You best bet is to drink local spirits, like rum.

AttorneyKearney
There is bourbon whiskey as well as scotch, prices start at about $2 a shot and go on up depending on the brand.
The average price would be about $4 a shot, the bottle is a lot cheaper.
Where you buy it makes a big difference in the price.
