Is it ok to have rhinoplasty in Peru at 15 years?

I'm 15 yrs old and this summer I'm having rhinoplasty. When I was little I used to play rough, and one day I accidently hurt my nose really bad. After that day my nose didn't look the same any more. So my mom finally let me have surgery, but I'm having it in Peru so I just hope if any of you know that if it's ok for me to have rhinoplasty in peru at 15. I hope so.

Are you from Peru?

I think you migth want to wait. At 15 your body isn't fully grown. But then, i just dont get plastic surgery anyway.

Be happy with what you are.

Fatty
just ensure that you do your homework on the surgeon and the facilities.....I personally would have it in the US where there are much stronger legal requirements

Foreign surgery is a always more dangerous and im sure that you are not protected by US laws. Be careful and be sure that u know what ur getting yourself into.

your nose grows with you all your life, so in order for it to be reshaped correctly you need to go to a trustworthy/experienced doctor who can see the long term growth of your new nose. look up the doctor and the facility.
i, personally, would have it in the United States and pay a bit extra but be sure. If the doctor screws up here you can sue; there you cant.

why Peru?

was your nose broken??

you should wait till at least 18 yrs old, because your body, is still forming.
when I was 16 I was only 5 ft 6 in tall, by the time I was 18 I was 5 ft 71/2 inches tall..... wait a little bit.

Rhinoplasty surgery is very safe nowadays. My cousin got her breast reduction, tummy tuck and facelift surgery in India by the company called Forerunners Healthcare .The Price for the surgery she paid in India was very less. She paid 30% of the cost she was quoted in America.

Forerunners Healthcare is very famous in India. They arrange cosmetic and plastic surgery for foreigners in India. I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories. They arrange financing for USA, Canadian, UK and other international patients who plan to have surgery abroad for low price, as the breast reduction, tummy tuck, facelift and other cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance. They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. There are huge cost savings. As a doctor I personally believe that surgery can be easily handled in India, as the quality of healthcare available In India is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star.

Hope this helps.

OK I know this isn't answering your question but I think it might be a good idea to run that idea by your doctor here first. He/She may be able to tell you what to look for in an overseas surgeon and what warrning signs to look for. You might also check to see if you have any legal recourse if the surgeon does a bad job. I am not saying you have a bad idea, I would just check it out thoroughly! I have heard on many people getting medical and dental work in Mexico without any problems.

NO ARE YOU THAT UP SET ABOUT YOUR NOSE THAT YOU HAVE TO GO THERE TO DO IT? THAT IS STUPID. YOU SHOULD JUST BE YOURSELF. IF PEOPLE DON'T LIKE THE WAY YOU ARE NOW THEN THEY DON'T DESERVE TO KNOW YOU AFTER.

Preciosa
I would suggest colombia or venezuela instead for cosmetic surgery. They are leaders in south america for plastic surgery, and cheap too. Make sure you do your homework and look at pictures from past surgeries that the doctor you are interviewing has performed. Try to get recommendations from other people.

Also, why don't you wait until you are a little older to go through with the surgery? Perhaps until you are 18 so you've had time to think about it?

Bridget
If I were you I would REALLY wait till I was 17-18 because your face is still growing and you wouldn't want to mess up your face any more. It is up to you and how bad you feel about it, but that is my advice to you.
Good Luck and if you do it hope it works well.

Heads up!
No, but good luck, if it is a modern facility that has a professional reputation I`m sure it will be fine and a lot cheaper.
